Description: Interdimensional menace Pantheon has imprisoned Deadman - now the living Boston Brand - and all but destroyed the Justice League Dark. Brahma Dass finds Brand in his cell, and Brand initially distrusts him, since Pantheon took his form. But he realizes this is the real article, and follows him. A construct, part of Pantheon, tries to stop them; they defeat it with a construct of their own. Brahma Dass then explains that Nanda Parbat cares for him and restored him; he begins to remember an early history there. But the musings are interrupted by the arrival of bowmen. Swamp Thing reaches into the local Green and forges vines to tear his team free of their bonds. He learns that long ago, dark gods ruled here, but eventually the people achieved enlightenment and rejected the old gods for new ones. These old gods survived, after a fashion, and evolved into Pantheon. Pantheon might have remained comatose forever, but the abuses of Project Thaumaton awoke it. It needed someone connected to the city to regain access after the dimensional shift, and that's where Deadman came in. The archers shoot Boston Brand, who dies and becomes Deadman again. Zatanna takes care of the attackers and the League reunites. They wish to leave, but Boston wants to stop Pantheon. Brahma Dass explains that the gods which make up Pantheon are fundamental concepts within the mind of the true creator, given form by faith. If Deadman can possess it, he might be able to unravel the ideas that underpin its existence from within. Boston and Brahma Dass infiltrate Pantheon and force it to decompose into the thousands of gods that comprise it, ending its threat. As the team leaves, Boston sees Brahma Dass has vanished. But he and the city will remain in Boston's heart...
