Description: More like a book than a magazine, illustrators is the art quarterly devoted to the finest illustration art ever published. With its unique blend of art and insight, it guides you through the stories behind the artists and their art, with features written by some of the leading authorities on this important art form. In issue 53: One of the premier talents of the ligne claire school of illustration, Ted Benoit and his love for US noir combined with a Hergé linear style made for some of the most memorable comic art of the late 20th century. Continuing the ligne claire approach to illustration we look at the work of two US-based illustrators, Patrick Léger and Jack Richardson. Next, our founding editor, Peter Richardson delves into the story of Funny Business, one of the UK's most controversial artist's agents. Finally we take a look at what was supposed to be the third Jaws film and its poster.
